Open Water/Nitrox Diver Course
Do you want to extend your bottom time, lessen your surface interval, and maximize every dive? Bundle and safe! This course covers our Open Water Scuba Water Diver and adds all the skills and knowledge necessary to utilize Enhanced Air Nitrox (EANx), up to EAN40 in open water diving activities. Pricing is for groups of 3+ divers
Prerequisites: Must be 15 years of age (10-14 year of age for Junior Certification), possess ability to swim, complete Medical History Form and NAUI Waiver & Release Agreement by the beginning of the water phase of the course.
Required equipment: mask, fins, snorkel and dive boots. All other equipment is provided by Panama City Dive Center.

During your NAUI Open Water Scuba Diver course, you will learn about modern diving equipment, diving sciences, responsible diving practices and the underwater environment. Diving skills will be presented and practiced first in the comfort and convenience of a confined water environment, move to open water for 2 dives and finally 2 dives from the boat to complete the course. Additionally, the diver will learn how to choose the proper blend of EAN for their dive profile, determine the maximum depth limits for their breathing mixture, analyze the breathing mixture, and plan and safely execute each dive. Following the completion of electronic learning final exam, the diver will acquire hands-on training of air mix testing equipment and dive with their instructor in order to receive their Nitrox Diver certification card.
